SETSCO

History


1963

Setsco’s history and experience can be traced back to1963 when the services were performed under the Industrial Research Unit (IRU) of the Economic Development Board (EDB).

1969

In 1969, the IRU was carved out as a separate statutory board and assumed the name Singapore Institute of Standards & Industrial Research (SISIR).

1981

In 1981, Setsco was set up by SISIR as a wholly owned subsidiary to provide commercial services to the industry.

1987

In 1987, Setsco was corporatised and became a subsidiary of Keppel Corp with SISIR as a minority shareholder.

1989

Setsco became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Corp.

1995

Setsco set up its first overseas subsidiary in Malaysia.

1997

In 1997, Setsco acquired its own building at Teban Gardens Crescent.

2002

Setsco set up a respresentative office in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

2003

In 2003, Setsco became a whollyowned subsidiary of VICOM Ltd.

2008

Setsco incorporated Setsco Consultancy International Pte Ltd as a wholly-owned subsidiary.

2012

Setsco Malaysia moves into a new building at Jalan Industri Mas, Puchong, Malaysia.

2013

Setsco Headquarters is housed in a new 4-storey building at Teban Gardens Crescent.

2021

Setsco Headquarters relocates to 531 Bukit Batok Street 23.
