Polymer Testing

Polymeric materials have emerged as cost-effective alternative and offer myriad solutions for numerous applications in many industries in achieving excellent product performance and desirable production efficiency. Setsco, with our wide range of testing facilities, aims to support the industry in ensuring reliable quality of polymer products. Our services include extensive analytical testing and characterization of polymer materials, mechanical, physical & thermal properties, and non-destructive testing. Setsco has the competency to determine suitable test methods, latest techniques and sophisticated equipment to perform tests, and the expertise in interpretation of results for cause and failure analyses.

Materials Tested

Plastics, paints & coatings, sealants, rubbers, ceramics, composites, geo-textiles, timber-based products.

Characterization of polymer

  • •Various analytical tests using Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrometry, etc
  • •Determination of metallic zinc content in both zinc dust pigment and in cured films of zinc-rich coatings
  • •Toxicity test on polymer product that come into contact with potable water
