For businesses, being part of a community goes beyond having a physical presence. It is about creating meaningful opportunities for employees to stay active, connect with a shared social purpose and contribute to the communities around them, extending the impact of workplace wellbeing beyond the organisation.

On 18 September 2026, around 30 employees from VICOM Ltd and Setsco Services Pte Ltd participated in Walk for Health @ South East 2026, an initiative by South East CDC. Starting from SETSCO Servicesโ€™ premises at Bukit Batok and ending at Bukit Gombak MRT, the walk brought colleagues together in support of both personal wellbeing and a wider community cause.

Every kilometre clocked contributes $1 worth of supermarket vouchers for senior beneficiaries in the South East District. With a collective target of 200,000 km, the initiative aims to support 1,500 to 2,000 seniors.

Initiatives such as this reflect how businesses can align employee engagement, wellbeing and corporate responsibility with the needs of the communities in which they operate.

By taking part in local initiatives, businesses can extend their impact beyond their day-to-day operations and contribute towards building healthier staff as well as a more connected and resilient community.

Being part of a community also means playing an active role in strengthening it.
