On 21 July 2026, SETSCO was privileged to welcome a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by ๐ ๐ฟ ๐๐๐ต๐ธ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ฆ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ท๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป, ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ป๐๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ for Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the Cabinet of Ministers of the ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐๐ฏ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐จ๐๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ธ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป, together with his fellow delegates, to our Bukit Batok testing facility. The visit was facilitated by the Building and Construction Authority Singapore (๐๐๐) as part of an exchange on construction quality, structural safety and testing practices.
The engagement provided a valuable opportunity to share Singapore’s approach to safeguarding the built environment through independent testing, inspection and certification. Discussions focused on the role of accredited laboratories in providing objective evidence that construction materials, workmanship and completed structures comply with regulatory requirements, approved specifications and design intent.
The delegation was also introduced to SETSCO’s testing and inspection capabilities supporting the construction sector, including materials testing, mechanical testing and non-destructive testing. Through these capabilities, laboratory evidence helps verify the strength and quality of construction materials, assess welded connections, evaluate long-term durability and support informed engineering and regulatory decisions.
Accompanied by representatives from ๐๐๐’๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ด๐ฒ๐ & ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฆ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐, the delegation toured SETSCO’s Mechanical Testing Laboratory and Automated Cube Testing System, gaining firsthand insights into how testing transforms design requirements into measurable evidence.
We extend our sincere appreciation to ๐ ๐ฟ ๐๐๐ป๐ด ๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐ผ, ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ, ๐ ๐ฟ ๐ก๐ด ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด, ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ป๐ด๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฟ, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ ๐ฟ ๐ ๐ถ๐น๐๐ผ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ต, ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ป๐ถ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ป๐ด๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฟ, ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ ๐๐๐’๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ด๐ฒ๐ & ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฆ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐, ๐๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ป๐ด๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฝ, for facilitating this meaningful visit and fostering technical knowledge exchange between our organisations.
At SETSCO, we believe that knowledge-sharing and international collaboration are essential in advancing construction quality, structural safety and resilient infrastructure.
