VICOM Ltd expands high-tech testing capabilities with new Penang facility VICOM has expanded its Electrical & Electronics (E&E) testing capabilities with the opening of SETSCO QAV’s new testing facility in Penang, Malaysia.
Established through a joint venture between Setsco Services Pte Ltd Services and QAV Technologies, the facility provides internationally recognised testing services across the product development lifecycle, including Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Radio Frequency (RF), Electrical safety and energy efficiency, Over-the-Air (OTA) antenna and Acoustic measurement, helping manufacturers achieve compliance and faster market access.
A key highlight is the enhancement of Singapore and Malaysia’s only third-party commercial Over-the-Air (OTA) testing capability, providing manufacturers with a critical capability for testing devices with OTA receivers.
Officially inaugurated by YAB Chief Minister of Penang, Mr Chow Kon Yeow, the facility strengthens VICOM’s growing non-vehicle testing business and support for the industrial and high-tech manufacturing sector.
