With the recent acquisition of the latest fatigue testing equipment at a value of almost half a million dollars, SETSCO has added fatigue testing – a test procedure to evaluate the endurance limit of metals to its current portfolio of testing capabilities. The new equipment, which operates on the principle of mechanical resonance rather than the conventional hydraulic mechanism, can reduce the testing cycle by 50 to 70% as compared to hydraulic fatigue machines. This will not only enhance our testing capabilities but also improve productivity immensely.

Through the NTUC Company Training Committee (CTC) scheme and grant, 36 of SETSCO’s staff were given further and deep skill training to operate and run this test competently.

Watch the video below as SETSCO’s Divisional Director of Mechanical Technology Division, Yusoof Aynuddin, shares with CNA about SETSCO’s aspirations and motivation in encouraging SETSCO’s employees to pursue upskilling.
